From the Pastor

Last Sunday we had a wonderful celebration of our Blessed Mother’s rosary together with a few thousand of our fellow Catholics at the Arizona Rosary Celebration 2023. Guadalupanas, Divina Misericordia, families and Knights of Columbus made the journey east to the Phoenix Convention Center where we joined Bishop Dolan and Bishop Nevares for the afternoon of prayer, song, celebration and fraternity. It was awesome! If you are able to go next year, I hope you’ll consider it - and it’s fun for the whole family (did I mention it was free?...)

Mary’s message to us has always been “Do whatever Jesus tells you.” (John 2:5) When She appeared to St. Juan Diego on Tepeyac, St. Bernardette in Lourdes, and the three shepherd children saints at Fatima, She spoke words of conversion, comfort, and peace. Those saints went and told others about the Lady who appeared to them, but even more important was Her message for us and for the world to turn to Jesus. Today throughout the world - especially in the Middle East, Central and South America, Eastern Europe, Central Africa, Southern Asia and so many neighborhoods in the USA - Mother Mary’s comfort and love cause us to pray the rosary (especially in our families) for peace and conversion. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners!

El domingo pasado tuvimos una maravillosa celebración del rosario de nuestra Santísima Madre junto a miles de compañeros católicos en la Celebración del Rosario de Arizona 2023. Los Ministros Las Guadalupanas, Divina Misericordia, los Caballeros de Colón y familias hicieron el viaje hacia el Phoenix Convention Center donde nos unimos al Obispo Dolan y al Obispo Nevares para una tarde de oración, canto, celebración y fraternidad. ¡Fue impresionante y divertido para toda los que atendieron. Si pueden ir el próximo año, espero que lo consideren -(¿mencioné que era gratis?...)

El mensaje de María para nosotros siempre ha sido "Haz lo que Jesús te diga". (Juan 2:5) Cuando Ella se le apareció a San Juan Diego en el Tepeyac, a Santa Bernardita en Lourdes, y a los tres niños pastores santos en Fátima, Ella habló palabras de conversión, consuelo y paz. Aquellos santos fueron y hablaron con otros sobre la Señora que se les apareció, pero aún más importante fue Su mensaje para nosotros, que el mundo siguiera a Jesús. Hoy, en todo el mundo -especialmente en Oriente Medio, Centroamérica y Sudamérica, Europa del Este, Centroáfrica, el sur de Asia y tantos vecindarios de EE.UU.- el consuelo y el amor de la Madre María nos hacen rezar el rosario (especialmente en nuestras familias) por la paz y la conversión. ¡Santa María, Madre de Dios, ruega por nosotros, pecadores!
