Daniel Oberreuter, the lead singer of the Catholic band, The Thirsting, offers solo acoustic parish mission concerts.
These concerts are called Come Hold my Son parish mission concerts.
Inspired by the song written by Oberreuter, Come Hold my Son parish mission concerts take listeners on a journey through the mysteries of the rosary.
The mission concert begins fun and upbeat. Then as it progresses, Daniel reveals his soul through story's and images that challenge and push each listener to greater conversion of their heart.
He emphasizes the need for monthly confession and spending time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
The climax of the concert then begins when Daniel shares the song Come Hold my Son, which he wrote while praying the rosary before the tabernacle and a statue of the Pieta. He then shares a moving testimony on the rosary and challenges the audience to recommit to Jesus and His Catholic Church.
But the concert does not end there. After each listener is touched on a deep level, Daniel lightens the mood by singing 2 more songs that encourage audience participation. Finally Daniel ends with his final song I Have Fought the Good Fight and challenges his audience to "never be afraid to stand up for their Catholic faith."
